Training at your office or your home

Jude in trainingWhat do I need?

If training is at your office, it would be ideal if there was a computer for every participant and a quiet place for training. A data projector is helpful, if available.

One-on-one training on your premises means that the training can be carried out with your own files making it more relevant to the work that is to be finally produced. If you don't have any files I would be pleased to provide relevant ones.

As part of the service I will analyse your training needs before the training day arrives and will also offer support and advice upon completion of your course.

How long should a session be?

Training should be no longer than 5 hours per day as after that time your brain may be overwhelmed with information and will need a good rest!
Sometimes a 6 hour session can be work better, broken up into two 3 hour sessions. This seems to work very well in helping you to retain the information, and also gives a little time in between for you to 'practise' and perhaps have questions that we can follow up in the second session. There is a minimum training time of 2 hours.

Are there any extra charges if the training is at our place of work?

If your offices are within the CBD, parking charges will apply. If further away, then travel and possibly accommodation costs would apply.

Mac or PC?

I can train you on the platform of your choice (Mac or PC).

We both very much enjoyed our training in InDesign with you. We achieved more than we expected in the session and your hand-outs will equip us well as we continue to practice and hone our skills. We were impressed with how you managed to work with two people with varying degrees of computer competency without one of us lagging behind in the training. To have gone from no experience whatsoever of graphics software (other than dabbling in Publisher) to producing an ad in 5 hours exceeded our expectations.
